Using Azure Active Directory authentication to provide a single sign-on experience for your organisation’s users can enhance your users’ experience in using Teamgage.


Note that for users who only use Teamgage to submit their results and comments, we do not require authentication and so nothing will change. The users who will benefit from a SSO experience are the managers, report viewers and administrators.


Not using Azure AD? Teamgage also supports Single Sign-On with SAML.


Setup instructions

The process of onboarding your organisation for AAD authentication in Teamgage should be quite straightforward.


  1. Contact Teamgage and ask us for an onboarding link. The information we require from you is simply the email domain(s) used by your users (e.g. if your company email addresses are of the form john.smith@contoso.com, this would be contoso.com). Multiple domains may be provided if desired, the only restriction being that the domain must be unique to your organisation.
  2. Please provide a test account on the email domain that Teamgage can use for unlimited

    internal testing.

  3. We will send you an email containing a URL similar to the following:

  4. Click on this link. Depending on whether you are already signed in to your AzureAD account, you may be asked to log in to Azure.

  5. Assuming you have sufficient privileges, you should get something similar to the following:
  6. Click Accept, and you will be redirected back to Teamgage with the following message:


That’s all there is to it. Now when your organisation’s managers log in to Teamgage, they will be asked to enter their email address, but will then be redirected to AzureAD for authentication. If they are already authenticated with Azure, they should automatically be redirected back to Teamgage with their expected access.
